Pines Surfing Academy Inter School Surfing Contest

The first week in May saw the annual Inter School Surfing Contest organised by Pines Surfing Academy, an ASI accredited surf school. 10 high schools from Kiama to Batemans Bay entered teams with approximately 100 students competing. 1st place was Kiama High "A" team; 2nd place was Carroll College and 3rd place went to Kiama High "B" team. The event was a great success with some excellent surfing by students.
Disabled Surfers Association Anzac Day Event 26 April, Bondi

Fiona Casey wins the Gold medal, surfing short board junior division at the SLSA Australian Championships at Perth, WA. Fiona is coached by Damion Treloar from, Wedge Surf School an ASI accredited surf school. With more than 6,000 competitors and officials, the SLSA Australian Championships is the largest sporting event of its type in the world. Competitors, in age groups ranging from U15 to over 70s, contest more than 295 events.
