ASI Announce Sponsorship Of The Trent 100

ASI are delighted to announce we will be sponsoring the upcoming Trent 100 event, touted as the UK’s most thrilling team paddle challenge!

Set to take place from July 21 to July 24, in Staffordshire, the Trent 100 has become a red-letter day on the calendars of paddle board enthusiasts all around the globe. With two days of great music, food and of course paddling, it’s easy to understand why.

On The Water

The paddle itself is the UK’s longest team paddle event and is sure to spark excitement in those adventurous souls out there. Two days and 100km of water await the teams, as they challenge themselves to undertake journeys of discovery and personal glory.

The event begins at Great Hayward in Staffordshire. There is an overnight pit stop at the wonderful Anchor Caves in Derbyshire, before meeting the finishing line on the evening of day two in Nottingham and a celebratory end of challenge get together.

Although not a race as such, all teams in the Trent 100 are given a maximum of 20 hours to complete the course. Paddlers will sign at checkpoints along the route, and that mid-point rest stop for a quick snooze is mandatory, and by that time, probably quite welcome. This is an event that is not about placing so much as it is about personal and team accomplishment in getting through the course in the allotted time frame. No easy feat in itself.

Out Of The Water

Paddlers can ease tired muscles by catching up with other like-minded souls and forming new lifelong friendships around the campfire glow of an evening. This time can be spent sharing stories, great food, live music, an outdoor cinema, and perhaps the occasional pat on the back in the knowledge you are on an adventure that is both a shared experience and a hugely personal one.
