PHILIPPINES. SIARGAO. The 2nd Annual Philippine Deep Paddle Games will be held on Philippine Deep / Mindanao Trench, one Siargao’s most unique features on 25-26 June 2019.
Local ASI SUP Instructor, SUP school owner and President of ASI Philippines, Michi Sotto, will be entering the race. Come along, enter the races or just come along for the festivities. It’s sure to be loads of fun.
The Philippine Deep / Mindanao Trench is the second greatest depth known in any ocean. Its deepest point plummets to 34,750 ft and runs close to reefs of our hometown, Santa Fe, General Luna.
It is with great pride that the Mindanao Trench is part of our life, and to celebrate this we invite you to the Philippine Deep Paddle Games, the ONLY paddle boarding ocean distance event here in the country.
Lead by the Philippine Deep Board Rider’s Club (PDBC) and Barangay Santa Fe’s Local Government Unit, this year’s event will be held on 25 - 26 June 2019 in the town of Santa Fe, General Luna, timely and relevant for its town fiesta. The format will add a technical race this year, with exciting sprint/heat races around a buoy course; along with the traditional 7kilomter distance race.
