Singapore SCF SUP Mid Distance Championships

Singapore played host to a day of epic racing on 19 December 2021.

There was an undoubted buzz in the air of excitement when paddlers took to the water to compete in SCF Mid-Distance Championships!

The day welcomed 40 rookie paddlers – including 7 youths – for their National Level SUP race debuts. The rookies paddled against seasoned vets in across nine competition categories and walked away with an impressive 15 of the 31 available medals!

ASI school Constant Wind Sea Sports and Sailing School played a key role in the organisation of the event, providing boards for competitors and also fielding four of their own ASI instructors in races.

The day highlighted that on the back of training and tips picked up during the ASI SUP Wise course, and a little hard work and dedication, rookie paddlers can win medals at National Level.
