The Celtic Cup event at Ocean Sports Centre, Cornwall UK

ASI Accredited School, Ocean Sports Centre at Carbis Bay in Cornwall is at the heart of SUP and ocean paddle sports events in the UK.
Having hosted Paddlefest as part of the British Ocean Ski series along with the International Celtic Cup, ASI SUP Master Trainer, Glenn Eldridge is now hosting The Celtic Cup event at Ocean Sports Centre on July 8-9th 2017.
The Ultimate Paddler With a new event format where club or team score points to vie for the crown of Ultimate Paddler or Ultimate Club/Team. While each race will have its own podium place, SUP teams and individuals can also be crowned the Ultimate Paddler and Ultimate Club / Team.
There can be only one There will only be one Ultimate Paddler, irrelevant of gender, the scoring system in place means both male and female have an equal chance of winning this coveted title based upon performance across distance and technical races.
The Ultimate paddler will be awarded to individual performances racing in either the Elite or Open categories. The Ultimate Club title follows a similar scoring system across both distances; however, it will include results from all four club or team members in the race divisions.
SUP and Prone Races There will be a two-day race format for SUP & Prone paddle boards on July 8th for the long course and July 9th for the technical course. There will be Stand Up Paddle board 14ft, 12’6 and cruiser board categories.
iKO – Family Fun Races Fun family events and races are organised with iKO (It’s a knockout) and giant Paper, Scissors, Rock games. Five events, short, fun and fast. Total point score across all events Giant SUP Slalom, Kayak chaos Sprint (Sit-on-Top), Taplin relay, Beach flags and Last Man Standing! will determine iKO champions.
There will be races in Ocean Ski, Prone Paddle board, Outrigger V6, OC1, 2 & 4 to complete the event. Plus, Paddle Clinics and club discount is available on the day. What more could you possibly want from an event?
Ocean Sports aim to provide an inclusive event that will showcase SUP and a variety of paddle sports for people to come along and participate in a variety of different ocean sports.
