Meet the Team
Yonder Surf School is owned and operated by Sally McGee. An experienced surfer and adventurer. In 2015, along with her husband, she completed a 16,000-mile surf trip on dirt bikes across Chile and through 12 countries, ending in California USA. She has also surfed the well famed spots of Indonesia, North Africa, France, Scotland and all over the UK.
Sally wanted to build a life and a career around doing what she loved. She decided to take the plunge to set up the women’s only school after being inspired by some strong female role models, along with numerous requests to personally teach ladies from beginner to improver level. She loves to provide this service for women in the largely male-dominated surf industry.
Sally holds ASI surfing instructor, first aid and rescue qualifications. She also has qualifications in Level 3 Cache Teaching and Learning Assistant, Sea Survival, Powerboat Level 2 and is a member of the Inshore Lifeboat crew for the RNLI.
Sally completely changed her life to follow her passion to inspire and teach other women to enjoy her surf lifestyle. Her natural enthusiasm is reflected in comments by her clients.
Yonder was established in 2018 and is proud to support & nurture a growing community of female surfers.
