Bombora Ettalong Beach SUP is owned and operated by Karl Herman.   An ASI accredited SUP instructor, holding rescue and first aid qualifications.   Karl also holds a Certificate IV in Fitness - personal trainer qualifications. He’s been stand up paddleboarding since 2007.  Prior to this he was windsurfing and competitively racing mountain bikes and catamarans.

Karl got involved in SUP for something to do when there wasn’t enough wind for sailing. He very quickly got hooked on SUP due to the ease of use and the benefit of being able to paddle in a range of conditions.  He regularly competes in SUP distance races.

Karl started the SUP School to share his passion for SUP and fitness, and offer a range of activities that utilise SUP including SUP fitness, SUP yoga and SUP ball.

He is assisted in the SUP school with experienced and qualified SUP Instructors.

Bombora Ettalong Beach SUP offers group and private SUP lessons, certificate courses, SUP tours, social paddles for kids, adults, parties, school groups, backpackers, universities and corporates.

Other SUP activities include SUP Yoga – with yoga poses conducted on a SUP boards in serene calm waters.

SUP Ball is also offered – a team sport where you score goals, paddling on SUP board with special paddles that can catch the ball !

SUP fitness sessions are help, that combine personal training exercises on a SUP board.
