About Us
College Alpin Beau Soleil is an outdoor education and adventurous secondary school located in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland, in the spectacular Swiss Alps, 1,350 metres (4,430 ft) above sea level. It is a prestigious international boarding for students aged 11 to 18.
Founded in 1910 Collège Alpin Beau Soleil is one of the oldest private boarding schools in Switzerland. The schools motto is “it’s what you do that counts”.
College Alpin Beau Soleil introduced paddle boarding to the schools curriculum to further take students out of their comfort zones and show them different methods of travel and adventurous activities. Students are from over 55 nationalities, many of which have never been introduced to water-based sports before.
Paddle boarding is now part of their main sport and outdoor education program.
Meet the Team
All College Alpin Beau Soleil SUP instructors are ASI accredited holding Level 1, Level 2 or SUP Technical coach qualifications and experienced paddlers. They are also outdoor water sports and winter sport enthusiasts with qualifications including ski instructing, mountain biking, climbing, mountaineering and many more.

College Alpin Beau Soleil provides SUP as a choice of one of many activities.
SUP lessons are provided so students can learn and increase their paddling skills and knowledge.
SUP tours are also conducted in any of the many scenic locations in the area.
Location Features
The college is located near Lake Geneva (also called Lake Leman) It is the largest fresh water lake in Switzerland, France and the Alps – being 580 square kilometres (224 square miles).
The lake offers ideal paddling conditions, with calm waters, coastline to explore, and surrounded by the scenic high Swiss Alpine peaks.
Once students are comfortable paddling, they venture out on Lake Geneva and Lake Gruyere for more adventurous SUP tours.
