Meet the Team
Derwent Valley Stand Up Paddle Board School is owned and operated by Cameron Douglas. He is an experienced paddler and enjoys flat water paddling and surfing SUP up to double overhead. He began paddling, after a friend introduced him to the sport and has never looked back. He’s been instructing ever since.
Cameron started the SUP school to share the joy of the sport with others. He is thrilled to see confidence build and the joy on people’s faces who have never tried it before. It’s also a great way to exercise and explore beautiful areas.
Cameron holds ASI level 1 SUP instructor qualification as well as first aid and rescue qualifications. He is assisted in the SUP School by ASI accredited SUP instructors.
Cameron’s experience and enthusiasm to get people motivated to enjoy and paddling is reflected in the comments he receives from his customers. They say: “I loved it, where can I buy a SUP board?” And “Can I bring a friend next time?
