Meet the Team
Element67, founded and led by Jason Topley, boasts a team of experts with extensive experience delivering outdoor recreation activities. With numerous instructor qualifications—including SUP Instructor, PADI scuba diving, cycling, running, kayaking, climbing, orienteering, first aid, powerboating, and lifeguarding—they provide top-notch instruction.
After a decade in the watersports industry, Jason launched the SUP school in 2018 to share his enthusiasm for the sport. Under the guidance of the Element67 team, people young and old, can acquire new skills in a supportive environment.
From the outset, Element67 has aimed to excel in every category, striving to make a significant impact on their customers. You too can learn a new skill under the supervision of the Element67 team.
Element67 is a premier stand-up paddleboard company in the region. Their passion for excellence has driven them from the beginning and continues to inspire them. Jason is supported by ASI qualified SUP instructors at the SUP School, ensuring high-quality training.
Service Overview
Element67 offers a variety of group and private SUP lessons for adults, children, groups, and corporate clients. You can choose from beginner sessions, "come and try" experiences, or earn your SUP Wise certificate and paddlers card.
They specialize in SUP tours to some of the Highland's most scenic locations, making them ideal for those who want to improve their skills, maintain their abilities, or simply enjoy being outdoors in beautiful surroundings.
Team-building activities and school sports groups are also welcome. With an onsite conference centre and Jason can customise programs to suit your needs.
The Element67 shop offers SUP boards, equipment, and accessories, along with expert advice from Jason to ensure you get gear that matches your skills and abilities.
SUP board rentals are also available.
Additionally, Element67 provides scuba diving and various other outdoor recreation activities.
Location Features
Element67 is based at Knockburn Sports Loch, a 30-minute drive from central Aberdeen. This 7-acre, purpose-built loch offers excellent on-site facilities and is surrounded by beautiful scenery and natural landscapes.
Situated in the heart of Royal Deeside, the loch provides a picturesque backdrop with lush greenery, stunning views, and calm paddling conditions. It's perfect for learning to paddle, honing your skills, staying fit, or simply enjoying being on the water.
Boddam Quarry and Loch Kinord - a small, freshwater loch at Muir of Dinnet are also used, offering a stunning views and great conditions.
For SUP improvers and the more adventurous, SUP tours take place on River Dee and the River Spey and coastal locations including Aberdeen Beach, Cove Harbour and Peterhead Lido.
With the Highlands on their doorstep, Element67 SUP tours take you around some of Scotland’s amazing scenery. Be it coastal hideaways, beaches or the lochs, this vast landscape instills a sense of serenity as you paddle.
There is also an amazing array of wildlife such as red and roe deer, peregrine falcons, mountain hare and pine martins to interact with. At coastal locations you will see seals and a variety of other marine and bird life.
School Features
Knockburn Sports Loch is a fantastic outdoor activity centre. There is a range of watersports and land based activities offered.
Facilities also include toilets and hot showers, ample parking, café and an onsite conference centre.
Tourist Attractions
The area around Aberdeen has stunning natural scenery and an abundance of wildlife. There are numerous walking and bike riding trails, ideal to connect with nature. As well as, scenic lookouts and pristine beaches and lochs.
Near Knockburn Sports Loch, you will also find local attractions including:
Hensol Castle Distillery: A historic site where you can learn about whisky production and enjoy tastings.
