Learn how to surf and have surfing lessons at Mollymook Beach Surf School, an ASI accredited surf school, located at Mollymook Beach, approximately 3 hours south of Sydney, NSW Australia.
Meet the Team
Mollymook Beach Surf School is owned and run by Geoff Hansen. Geoff is an elite-advanced surfer and has been surfing since a young age. He grew up in the local area and has also travelled the world surfing numerous locations including Indonesia and Hawaii.
He holds ASI instructor qualifications surf rescue and senior first aid certificates and has coached thousands of lessons to people with all backgrounds.
Geoff started the surf school to provide a more specialised and personalised surfing experience.
He is assisted in the surf school with a team of accredited and experienced instructors.
“Teaching people how to surf is one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had,” says Geoff. “Everyone is having fun !”

Mollymook Beach Surf School offers group and private surfing lessons, beginner to advanced level, surfing guide trips, surfing awareness, for kids, adults, parties, school groups and corporates.
Over the years, Geoff has developed learn to surf tips and techniques that will have you surfing in no time. We cover not only how to stand, but all aspects of surf culture and safety. It doesn't matter what level you are.”
With Geoff’s wealth of local knowledge, he is able to choose the best and safety conditions on the day with lessons at Mollymook beach, Narrawallee and Racecourse.
Geoff also provides surf surfaris for the more experienced or adventurous surfers. Find the best waves in the Shoalhaven area, to suit your abilities.
School Features
Mollymook Beach also has some great cafes. Leave the kids for lessons and have a coffee. Or have a lesson yourself and join up with new friends to recount your surfing experience.
Location Features
Surf lessons are held at Mollymook Beach at the north end. It provides ideal waves for learning to surf.
See natural attractions including kangaroos and beautiful locations with pure white beaches and crystal-clear waters.
The best conditions are chosen on the day and lessons may also be held at the south end of Mollymook Beach or the south end of Narrawallee.
There are also great surf conditions nearby for improver and advanced levels.
