Learn how to stand up paddle at Stand Up Surfing, an ASI accredited school, located on the beautiful Gnarabup Bay near Margaret River in Western Australia, 3 hours south of Perth, with ideal paddling conditions, set against nature.
Sessions are held at the beautiful Gnarbup Bay at Margaret River, home to clear blue waters and natural parklands. Most days you can easily see the bottom including the fish and many reefs.
Part of the beach is sheltered from the wind and waves making it ideal for paddling.
After the paddle, hang out at the café on the beach offering great food and views.
A family run business led by Craig Fisher, he comes from a family with a long history in stand up paddling and lifesaving. He has a wealth of local knowledge and expertise.
Learn to SUP lessons and SUP tours are held for all ages. Learn to SUP surfing lessons, SUP downwind and SUP Yoga are also on offer. Large groups can be accomodated for corporates and school sports.
Craig is an ASI Trainer and authorised to train others to be ASI SUP Instructors.
SUP and stay accommodation packages are also available.

Meet the Team
Stand Up Surfing is a family run business led by Craig Fisher. Craig started surfing at an early age as his family were involved with the Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club as board paddlers from the late 1940’s.
Pete Cuff , Craig's father-in-law was one of the first people, in South Africa, to make stand up paddle craft back in the 1950s.
Craig is an ASI accredited SUP instructor, holds surf rescue and first aid qualifications. He also regularly competes in SUP events around Australia.
Craig has lived in the Margaret River local area for over 16 years and has excellent knowledge of the best locations.
Service Overview
Stand Up Surfing offers group and private lessons, SUP Wise learn to SUP certificate courses, SUP tours, SUP Surfing, team building, adults, backpackers, parties, hens and stag parties, school groups, and corporates.
The school has a range of equipment with different board lengths to suit a variety of people, making it more comfortable to paddle dependent on your ability and size.
The school is also an ASI Instructor Training Centre and Craig Fisher is authorised to train ASI SUP Instructors.

There are changing rooms, showers and toilets as well as The White Elephant café that offers a great selection of foods.

Location Features
SUP sessions are held at Gnarabup Beach, Prevelly. Part of the beach is sheltered from the wind and waves making it ideal for paddling.
It is very natural, with wildlife, bushland around, beautiful aqua blue clear waters and white sand.
Most days you can easily see the bottom including the fish and many reefs.
Close by are locations for SUP surfing ideal for beginner to advanced levels.
Tourist Attractions
Margaret River is a small town, 3 hours drive south of Perth. It is known for its craft breweries, boutiques and surrounding wineries. Beaches and surf breaks line the nearby coast, whose waters host migratory whales from June to November.
Stretching between 2 lighthouses north and south of the town, the long-distance Cape to Cape Track fringes the limestone caves and sea cliffs of Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park.
The area offers a variety of paddling locations in sheltered covers and inland waters for beginners excellent downwind paddling and SUP Surfing.
