Meet the Team
SUP Dublin is owned and operated by Alex Murphy. He’s been paddling since 2016 and extensive knowledge of the local area having paddled all over Dublin including Howth, Malahide, Skerries, DL Harbour, Sandycove. In addition, he is a qualified GAA referee in Gaelic and Hurling, a basketball coach and a lover of all sports.
Alex got involved in the industry through selling some paddle boards. He decided to set up the SUP school to give good knowledge to clients as well as ensuring they have a good experience so they can enjoy the water and be safe.
Ireland is nation surrounded by water, yet many people have never tried a water sport. SUP Dublin hopes to change that as paddling boarding is a water sport that can be enjoyed by all levels of ability, background and age. Once hooked, he hopes you will discover the magic of the water.
Alex holds ASI SUP Instructor, water rescue and first aid qualifications. And is assisted in the SUP school with experienced and accredited ASI SUP instructors.

SUP Dublin also specialise in SUP Tours in the local canals and rivers. They are a great way to explore the local area, meet new friends or build up your paddling skills. You can easily get public transport to these locations where the tours start.
SUP rentals are also available.

Location Features
SUP lessons and activities are held at Malahide Yacht Club, Broadmeadows. Offering calm and protected waters to assist you to learn new techniques or partake in a social paddle.
SUP Tours are held on the canals both north and south of the River Liffey. The canal SUP tours are very scenic, with natural vegetation and wildlife and calm waters. You can enjoy these peaceful paddles and escape the hustle and bustle of the nearby city.
SUP tours are also organised to the city centre, where the scenery changes from nature and wildlife to urban buildings and the famous Ha’penny bridge.
