Learn how to stand up paddle and have SUP lessons and tours at Surf Mexico, an ASI accredited learn to stand up paddle school, located at Puerto Vallarta, Bucerías, Mexico.

Bucerias is a small fishing village on the country's Pacific coast known as the Riviera Nayarit. Here, the conditions are ideal for stand up paddle, with clear waters, white sand, and stunning scenery.    

Surf Mexico is owned and run by Adam  Finer.   He has been involved in competitive sports from an early age, including snowboarding, windsurfing,  kitesurfing and now  stand up paddle.   Adam also competed whilst in the Canadian Military, and won awards all around the world in Biathalon, Pole vault and holds records for his prowess on the obstacle course.  He was also a tech rep and team rider for North Kiteboarding, started a custom line of his own kiteboards, owned a kiteboarding school in Canada and is a film producer of commercial marketing videos.

Adam holds ASI Level 3 Downwind & Distance Paddling and ASI Level 3 SUP Surfing accreditation, as well as surf rescue and senior first aid qualifications.  He has instructed hundreds of hours of stand up paddle, competed in SUP events throughout the world, created and event managed SUP race series competition events in Mexico.  

Adam started Pacific Paddler, in 2007, with his wife, Veronica Nava, and the two have pioneered the sport of sand up paddle in Mexico.   They are also the largest distributor of stand up paddle boards in Mexico.  

They are assisted in the school by experienced and accredited ASI SUP instructors. 

Surf Mexico offers group and private lessons, SUP Wise learn to SUP certificate courses, SUP tours, team building and rentals  for kids, adults, parties, hens and stag parties, school groups, and corporates.

They cater for beginner to elite-advanced level from flat water to downwind racing or SUP wave surfing.  

Great stand up paddle board and equipment packages, customised to your requirements, are also available.  

Other adventure sports available include kitesurfing, windsurfing, surfing and canoe club.

Surf Mexico is also an ASI Instructor Training Centre (ITC).  Adam authorised to train others to be ASI accredited stand up paddle instructors.

SUP lessons and activities are held Bucerías.  It offers ideal beach conditions for learning to stand up paddle, with flat calm waters. 

Stand up paddle surfaris are conducted at various locations.  

The secluded island sanctuary of Islas Marieta, with paddling in out of caves and 92 different resident species of birds.   Banderas Bay’s most treasured natural landmarks and  Vallarta’s famed Los Arcos, a beautiful ecological reserve with  schools of tropical fish.
