Learn how to surf and have surfing lessons and surf dancing lessons at Surfdancer, an ASI accredited surf school, located at Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia.  

Sessions are held at Noosa Main beach, a perfect place to learn to surf.

Surfdancer is owned by Kristy Quirk.  She created  “Surf Dancing”  which is a form of surfing that includes dance steps.  It’s a unique and fun way to learn to surf.

Kristy is an accomplished surfer, and has competed in both short and longboard surfing competitions and represented Queensland in the Australian titles.  She is also a qualified dance instructor and has been coaching dance for over 20 years.  Her love of surfing and dancing gave her the idea to create surf dancing.

An ASI Level 3 Surfing Coach, Kristy has been coaching surfing lessons for over 15 years. Kristy also holds her Bronze Medallion Surf Lifesaving, Advanced Resuscitation. Senior First Aid and Jet Ski licence for Surf Lifesaving Support Services. She is also actively involved in the Noosa Surf Club and you may have seen her patrolling the waters on the jet ski!   And she is also an experienced snow and outdoors activity guide

Kristy is much sought after as a surf coach. She regularly works with the surf club and primary and high schools teaching surfing and surf awareness.  She provides those "added insights to ocean awareness with trips to alternative locations to suit the style and skill of her students.

She is assisted in the surf school by a team of highly experience and accredited instructors.

Kristy's years of coaching dance and surfing, with people of all ages and especially children, has helped her develop learning techniques that are creative and make for easy learning in a relaxed and friendly way.

Surfdancer offers group and private surf dancing and surfing lessons, beginner and intermediate surfing certificate courses, competition skills coaching, surfing guide trips, team building, surfing awareness for kids, adults, parties, school groups and corporates.

The school also provides kids holiday programs and groms weekly surf sessions.

They specialise in school surfing programs offering the ASI Surf Wise program and can also customise programs.
