Meet the Team
Tide Riders Surf school is owned and run by Todd Nosworthy. He is an elite-advanced level surfer. He’s been surfing for the majority of his life at all types of surf breaks including advanced level surf breaks along the west coast and east coast of Australia, Indonesia, Fiji and the US. Todd has studied Sport and Exercise Science, then Sports Teaching, and is an ASI accredited surfing instructor, holding surf rescue and first aid qualifications.
As surfing is Todd’s favourite past-time, it made sense to become a surfing instructor, and pass the fun and his knowledge to others. After working as an instructor for other surf schools, he decided to set up his own school in Esperance, a location with great surf and uncrowded beaches.
He believes that being a surfing instructor and guide is not just about showing people where/how to surf, but equally as importantly about creating a positive and welcoming environment. One where everyone feels completely comfortable, supported and making SURE everyone has that warm and fuzzy feeling in the water and out.
