Meet the Team
Trekkers is owned and operated by Chng Ching Wee (Andrew). He is has over 20 years experience in outdoor adventure sports, holding instructor qualifications for SUP, kayaking, scuba diving and dragonboat coxswain. He also holds UIAA Mountain Rescuer, single pitch award climbing, abseiling proficiency level 3 and troll industry rope access UK.
He has always like watersports activities and got involved in SUP in 2018. He recognised the benefits of SUP and wanted to provide SUP activities to his clients and share his SUP knowledge.
Andrew holds ASI Level 1 and Level 2 SUP Instructor qualifications, water rescue and first aid qualifications and is assisted in the SUP school with other ASI accredited instructors.
Trekkers Pte Ltd has been a one-stop solution provider for Outdoor Education and Training needs since 1997. They are also a Licensed Travel Agent (TA 01688) and hold BizSAFE certification from the Singapore Ministry of Manpower.
Service Overview
Trekkers offers group and private lessons, SUP Wise learn to SUP certificate courses, SUP tours, team building and rentals for all ages and backgrounds.
They also specialise in delivering programmes for school groups, corporate groups and outbound adventures.
SUP sessions are about having fun, exploring new skills and great friendships, , whether you are just trying SUP for the first time, wanting to increase your SUP skills or are a school or corporate group.
Programmes can be customised based on the groups’ goals and objectives incorporating SUP and a range of other sports and activities.
Location Features
SUP lessons and activities are held at Sembawang Beach, Singapore.
Located within a 15 hectare, Sembawang Beach is a tranquil park away from the bustle of the city. With a beautiful sandy beach, calm waters and stunning views, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy stand up paddling and other watersports.
At Sembawang, you can also view historic or iconic buildings and see lots of flora and fauna.
SUP activities are also conducted at other locations around Singapore, specially chose for safety and ideal conditions for paddling.
School Features
There are toilets, showers/changing room and parking. Plus a shop offering refreshments.
Tourist Attractions
Sembawang is named after the Sembawang Tree.
Blending nature and history, this scenic park also gives visitors a glimpse of Singapore’s naval heritage.
Thera are old restored pathways used during the British occupation. Visit the Beaulieu House, the Sembawang jetty and the remains of the 1920s Seletar Pier. The park is also surrounded by other places of historical interest like the Admiralty House, Kampong Wak Hassan, Masjid Petempatan Melayu Sembawang, Sembawang memorial and the Sembawang Shipyard, which was a British Naval Base from 1938 to 1968.
