Meet the Team
Ullswater Paddleboarding was set up in 2015 by Adrian Bacon, a fully qualified ASI SUP instructor and a SUP enthusiast for more than 12 years. Adrian has a long history in watersports. In his youth he was one of the country's top windsurfers, competing in both British and World championships.
In between events, Adrian worked for Windsurf Magazine as the senior equipment tester for over a decade. Adrian is also an RYA qualified yacht skipper and has sailed extensively around the UK and completed an Atlantic Ocean crossing in 2010. He also holds rescue and first aid qualifications.

The lake is the second largest in England at 7 ½ miles long, but is less than a mile wide. It’s also been called one of the most beautiful lakes in England.
On our SUP Tours, we explore all of the interesting geological and historical features that Ullswater has to offer, visiting the small villages dotted on the lake, the islands, beautiful secluded bays, headland and cliffs of Ullswater’s inaccessible eastern shoreline.
With the added bonus of a chance of spotting some of England’s rarest wildlife
