Meet the Team
Waves of Thinking is owned and operated by Zac Steele, a South Coast local, and has spent more time in than out of the ocean. He’s an advanced level surfer and has been working in surf schools since he was a teenager.
Zac studied psychology and works in a clinic to help people overcome mental illnesses and educating them on positive wellbeing techniques. He also spent a number of years working on the Veteran Surf Project (VSP). He got to witness the life changing, and life-saving effects that surf therapy can have on people.
He decided to start the surf school and specialise in “surf therapy” sessions. Combining his love of surfing and assisting others with mental illnesses.
Zac holds ASI surfing instructor, first aid and rescue qualifications and is assisted in the surf school by experienced ASI surfing instructors.
