About Zoe
Originally a professional dancer, Zoe has worked in the fitness industry for 28 years working as a group exercise instructor, personal trainer, workshop leader fitness, demonstrator advanced and Ashtanga Yoga Teacher. She is a pioneer in developing and delivering SUP Yoga and SUP Fitness in the UK and Europe.
Zoe began her path in life as a dancer at the age of 4. At 18 years of age, she had her own dance group and travelled the world dancing including: Summer Season – Guernsey; Second Generation Dance Group: Sleeping Beauty Pantomime; Razzmatazz Dance Group Choreographed by Chrissy Wickham; Capricorn Four Dance Group World Tour as Lead Dancer
Health and fitness has always been an important part of her life and at the age of 25 she started working as a fitness instructor.
Zoe holds Instructor Level 3 accreditation with the Register of Exercise Professionals REPS - a national body that exists to help safeguard the health and interests of people who are using the services of exercise and fitness instructors, teachers and trainers. Level 3 is recognised as one of the highest qualification in the U.K, meaning that she has an in depth knowledge of all the components of fitness.
During the last 14 years Zoe has been teaching Body Balance which opened a whole new Yoga world. After exploring the different Yoga disciplines she discovered Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
Wanting to deepen her yoga Practice in 2007 she went to Yoga Thailand to do an intensive 2 months teachers training. Becoming a certified Yoga teacher.
In 2010 Zoe was awarded with her 500hrs teaching training with Yoga Alliance.
Zoe also loves being on the water, in 2010 was introduced to Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boarding. The paddleboard makes a fine yoga mat and she created SUP Yoga.
The extra balance required by being on the water intensifies the yoga routine, making it one of the best core & balance workouts, creating physical, mental and spiritual harmony while peacefulness floating on the water, which combines nicely with the meditative of Yoga and Mother Nature.
At the same time, Zoe started designing and delivering fitness on a SUP board. She loves being on the water and wanted to give people something different to get them out of the gym and onto the water.
Sup-Fitness is low impact but utilises the entire body, the extra balance required by being on the water intensifies even basic fitness routines, whilst balancing the whole time.
Zoe brings love and compassion when teaching. She has a gift to sees people’s abilities. From serene yoga sessions, gentle fitness workouts to taking clients of their comfort zone, pushing clients, male and female to their limits with "tough" workouts but with positive safe results. With her support and love she makes them feel like anything is possible!!
