About Mike 

Mike is a former British, English and European surfing champion, He holds the highest level coaching accreditation, an ASI Level 4 Master Surfing Coach, surf rescue and senior first aid qualifications and is a qualified lifeguard.

Mike is owner of Raven Surf School and has over 20 years experience coaching beginner to elite surfers, conducting special programs for youth at risk and development and elite squads for local young talent with Cornwall Council and Sports England.

Raven Surf School is also a Surf Life Saving GB Accredited Lifeguard Training Centre and offers surf lifesaving/first aid workshops prior or after surfing instructor workshops.

• ​Trains ASI Surfing instructors in the UK, Europe and other countries

• Owner of surf school: Raven Surf School, Established in 2003

• Personal coach for high performance competition surfing skills

• Runs various Development and Elite Squad programs, which at times has helped produce some British and English junior champions.

• Created The UK Urban Surf Project, a surfing training program  that provides at risk youth with a surfing experience which could lead on to career opportunities.
