About Robin

Robin has been working in the outdoor industry for over 20 years. He is an experienced surfing coach and lifeguard trainer operating his own surfing school and lifeguard training centre. 

Based in Bude, Cornwall Robin has been involved in delivering surf based experiences to visitors to the as well as the development of surfing community who are based in the area. He delivers a lifeguard training program to those that wish to work within the industry and is the Junior Surf Club Coach at Crackington Surf Lifesaving Club.

Through his own school, Robin has delivered surfing experiences to over 10’000 clients from beginners, intermediates and advanced level surfers. His surfing experiences are undertaken by holiday makers, school/youth groups, corporate clients and people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Surfing Experience

• 20 Years surfing experience

• Elite-advanced level surfer

• Has competed in regional and club surfing competitions

• Enjoyed a period of time as a travelling surfer experiencing many different surf breaks and wave types

Coaching and Training Experience

• Delivers the ASI Surfing Instructors in the UK and Europe

• Trainer/Assessor for the Surf Lifesaving Great Britain (SLSGB) Beach Lifeguard Award

• First Aid Trainer

• Owner of Freewave Surf Academy School, Bude Cornwall.
