Entry Requirements
Before starting this course, you will have
Elite-advanced surfing skill and knowledge level equivalent to Level 10 Elite-Advanced Surfer. Able to perform and link advanced level manoeuvres including roundhouse cut-back, floater, snap, vertical re-entry, tube ride, in surf over 6ft (2 metres) at different surf breaks
Hold current ASI Level 3 Surfing Coach certificate.
Minimum of 10 years recent surfing instruction experience.
English speaking skills.
Study Options
The following study options are available for this course.
Workshop: An intensive course that focuses on the major components, with the ability to interact with the trainer and the group.
Duration: 2 days.
Course Requirements
Knowledge Requirements
Provide 2 x coaching progams for students you have coached in the past 24 months.
Coach for recreational surfing competitions, to a minimum of regional level. Example of evidence to include competition entry, results, participant background information, goals, events, training phases, testing and measuring, dairy notes, risk management plan, evaluation plan, modifications, legal and ethical responsibilities.
Workshop: after the workshop
Skills Requirements
Demonstrate ASI Level 9 Advanced Surfer.surfing ability: Able to perform and link advanced level manoeuvres - roundhouse cut-back, floater, snap, vertical re-entry, tube ride, with power and speed, in surf up to 6ft (2 metres), at different types of surf breaks.
Workshop: practice at workshop. Submit own video after workshop.

Surf Rescue and First Aid Certificates can be provided before or after workshop or within 12 months of enrolment.
Time to Complete
You have 12 months from date of workshop, or date or online enrolment, to complete all course requirements.
