Keep up to date with ASI Short courses, specially designed for instructors who hold the Treinador De Desporto Surfing Grau 1 and Grau 2.

Learn the skills and knowledge to instruct individuals at the improver to intermediate surfing skill.   This is a 2 day course, where you will learn how to take your students from beginner to intermediate level.   Covering sessions planning, skills development and student management and safety. 

Your trainers are highly experienced surfers and surf school operators, providing a wealth of information and inside tips.  ASI is the world leader is surfing education training.

Approved by the IPDJ, you will earn 3 Credits (3 Unidades de Crédito, IPDJ).  This is a participation course only, with no formal assessment.  Once you attend the workshop you are eligible to receive the IPDJ approved ASI course certificate. 

There is a special discount fee for ASI Instructors.

Hold Treinador De Desporto Surfing Grau course

The following study options are available for this course.

Workshop:  An intensive course that focuses on the major components, with the ability to interact with the trainer and the group. 
Duration:  2 days.  9am to 5.30pm

Attend workshop.
This is a participation course only. 
There is no formal assessment.

Coaching Improver-Intermediate Surfing Skills manual.
3 Credits (3 Unidades de Crédito, IPDJ)

The following equipment and clothing is required to complete the training:

  • Surf clothing

  • Fibreglass surfboard

  • Beginner soft-top boards with soft fins and leash

Coaching Improver-Intermediate Surfing Skills certificate (IPDJ approved)
