Learn how to surf and have surf lessons at Lancelin Surf School an ASI accredited learn to surf school, located at Lancelin, a beautiful coastal town, a 90-minute drive north of Perth, WA.
Lancelin is known for its white sandy beaches, blue waters, protected bay and small waves which are perfect for surfing.
Meet the Team
Lancelin Surf School is owned and operated by Meaghan Simons. She is an experienced surfer, has been a surf coach since 2009 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Surf Science and surfing instructor, first aid and surf rescue qualifications.
Meaghan also operates a surf retreat business that provides surfing trips to various locations in Western Australia, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
Meaghan and her team of qualified surfing instructors will ensure you enjoy the surfing experience and / or help you improve your surfing ability.
Services Overview
Lancelin Surf School offers group and private surfing lessons, Surf Wise beginner surfing certificate courses, team building, surfing awareness for kids, adults, parties, hens and stag parties and corporates.
Lessons are designed for anyone who would love to experience the thrill of surfing.
All ages and abilities welcome.
Location Features
Surfing sessions are held at Back Beach at Lancelin.
It’s a long stretch of beach protected by an outer reef. The waves are ideal for beginners. They are perfectly with long rides over soft sand, making it loads of fun.
It is not uncommon to share a wave with the pod of dolphins which call Lancelin home.
To the north is Edward’s Island – a nature reserve which attracts much marine life including seabirds and seals. To the south is nothing but crisp white sand and turquoise water as far as the eye can see.
Looking back to shore from the water you will see beautiful sand dunes which are protected nature reserves.
School Features
A car park is available right by the beach for parking.
The school also has access to toilets and showers for changing.
